Scalar multiplication of matrices

Matrix multiplication

Identity matrix

The identity matrix is a square matrix with 1's on the diagonal and 0's elsewhere. It is the matrix equivalent to the number 1.

For example, the 3x3 identity matrix:

Any matrix multiplied by the identity matrix remains unchanged.

Determinants and inverses
